Volunteers are always welcome at the IWT. Volunteers’ time, expertise, enthusiasm and knowledge are central to the IWT’s conservation efforts.
There are many different ways volunteers can help:
Event Helpers: The IWT attends a number of events during the year e.g. Bloom in the Park and the Dublin Zoo's Native Species weekend. Volunteers are needed to help set up stands, sell membership at public events and answering general queries about wildlife. We are looking for outgoing people with an interest in conservation.
Office Administrative work: The IWT occasionally requires volunteers to help with filing, photocopying and database work. We are looking for computer literate individuals who want to contribute to our work.
Fundraising: The IWT is looking for volunteers with good communication skills and ability to co-ordinate and help with a variety of fundraising campaigns.
Graphic Design: The IWT is looking for a volunteer experienced in graphic design for work on posters and information packs.
Marketing: The IWT is looking for support in the area of PR and marketing regarding raising the overall awareness of the IWT and our programmes, and to build our membership
